GFWA provided specialist chemical grouting injection both through and behind the sheetpiles with polyurethane to seal off the ground water ingress into the development.
Skyton Developments are developing a three level basement on the corner of O’Riordan Street and John Street in Mascot. The excavation is in Botany Sands and is carried out inside a sheetpile retaining wall with three levels of anchors. The ground water at the site consists of both perched and deep level water tables which cause significant problems to the installation of anchors, during installation and on completion. GFWAust provided expertise to seal water ingress through leaking sheetpiles and around the head of the ground anchors using polyurethane injection.
