GFWAust provided the solution with the application of a elastometric cementitious spray to provide stability to some sandstone batters at the back of the Austral Brickworks site in Brookvale NSW.
A brand new development of luxury townhouses and apartments by Southern Cross Constructions located on the former Brookvale Brickworks site in the NSW Southern Highlands. The brickworks were built in 1910 and were in operation from 1914 until 1997 when the land was rezoned. The new development includes demolition and rebuilding of the original chimney and incorporation of the heritage kilns which have apartments built on top of them.
When the building development was nearly completed the developer, Southern Cross Constructions, became concerned over the stability of some sandstone batters at the back of the site. The weathered sandstone was washing sand and silt into the drains causing them to block.
