GFWAust was appointed to grout the rock beneath the seawall to enable excavation for an underground carpark

Pimas Gale are redeveloping the site at 62 Wunulla Road which includes the excavation of an underground car park. The excavation work adjacent to the seawall proved problematic with large ingress of water beneath the concrete wall. GFWAust were appointed to drill and grout the weathered sandstone beneath the wall.
Holes were drilled at 1.5 m centres along the line of the wall and injected with a combination of precision grouts including underwater grout, quick setting grout and penetrating grouts to achieve the required result.
The leakage beneath the wall was successfully stemmd allowing excavation to be competed.
