The SITA Port Stephens Composting Facility at Raymond Terrace includes a large digester. The plant is founded on rock on a hard dacite. Vibrations from the operation of the digester has caused the founding rock to fracture. GFWAust were appointed to pressure grout the fractured rock to stabilise the foundations.

Pressure grouting was carried out using a microfine cement to penetrate the fine fractures in the rock.
