David provided expert advice to Mainmark for the permeation grouting works carried out for the Perth Transport Authority between Chainage 4100m and 4400m on the Armidale rail line north of Victoria Park station.
The Victoria Park stowage track alterations required cutting the existing cut slope to a steeper angle. To enable this excavation permeation grouting was carried out along the slope with some sections also being soil nailed and shotcreted in order to form steep batter slopes.
Perth sand is ideal for permeation grouting with microfine cement. David provided technical assistance to Mainmark in determining the quantities, pressures and grout mix to be applied, and appropriate systems for proving the ground treatment
