GFWAust were appointed to grout behind the brackets and beams installed to strengthen a failed slab.
Theuma Engineering were appointed by Laing Orourke to install steel beams and carbon fibre strips to provide reinforcement to a failed slab at Blacktown shopping centre. Grouting was required behind the beams to ensure maximum bearing capacity and minimal movement. GFWAust were asked by Theama to provide a non shrink grout behind the beams. The brackets were filled with a fluid grout to ensure complete filling of the voids. The top of the beams were filled with dry pack which was then compacted to provide a firm seating for the slab. Al grout samples were tested for strength at 1, 7 and 28 days.
