This included the preparation of a Blast Quality Plan and submission to the Environmental Protection Agency.

David Lees and Associates was appointed by Halcrow to provide Design Management Services for the tender design of Contract of the proposed New Delhi Metro for McConnell Dowell/Obayashi Joint venture.  The project included the design of 6km of twin underground railway mostly in bored tunnel and 6 new underground railway stations. Five of the stations were to be built in cut and cover type construction and the new station at Chawri Bazaar was to be an underground station formed by the enlargement of the running tunnels.

Southbank is a new development by Ganellen at Wolli Creek of 1,2,and 3 bedroom apartments next to the Mercure Hotel. The development is in soft marine clays and silts and the groundwater is tidal. Grosvenor are the subcontractor and McDonald sheetpiling are responsible for the excavation retaining wall. David Lees was requested to assist with a new sewer connection which is required to the manhole  on the corner of Levy Street and Gertrude Street.

David Lees and Associates were appointed by Brandrill Limited to provide engineering assistance in the development of their non-explosive rockbreaking technology, PCF, for Hawkesbury Sandstone. The technique uses a fast burning propellant to deliver a volume of high pressure gas which breaks the rock with nominal vibration, noise and flyrock.
